My name is Jennifer and I am an artist, illustrator, printmaker and storyteller with two degrees in art. I am originally from the wonderful mountains of West Virginia and Kentucky, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains and the infamous Coal Fields of the U.S. and the place of the Hatfield and McCoy Feud.
After 20 years as an Army wife and teaching off and on for over 30 years, I currently live and work in beautiful Volusia County, where my art studio borders a lush wooded preserve, near the historic Daytona Beach and local farmland. Here in my cozy studio, I surround myself with items from my Appalachian American culture, my Christian faith, and tales that inspire me. I enjoy working with traditional art, illustration materials, ink or mixed media.
Themes in my artwork range from whimsical to my faith to the beauty in creation. Some of my other interests include encouraging other creatives, advocating healthy living, and the welfare of animals.
